Abstract
As the continuous increase in wind power penetration has brought a series of frequency problems to the power system, it is of great significance to study the frequency regulation (FR) of wind power system in order to maintain the safe and stable operation of power system. First, though the measured wind speed data of wind farm, this paper analyzes the wind speed variation law of the power generation section of wind turbine generator (WTG) participating in FR, and points out that it is inappropriate to set the wind speed to be constant during the process of WTG participating in FR. Subsequently, aiming at the favorable wind speed variation process that can bring incremental power to the WTG, a method for online tuning of the frequency droop control coefficient is proposed, and the calculation formula for parameter tuning is given. Finally, the simulation results based on three kinds of measured favorable wind speed variation laws verify the correctness of the proposed online parameter setting formula and the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
