Abstract
High magnetic field pulsed magnets are used to generate a magnetic field higher than 45T, which is the highest magnetic field that can be achieved by continuous-operation magnets ( Sometimes referred to as direct-current magnets ) at present. High magnetic field pulsed magnets will bear huge electromagnetic force in the high magnetic field, so the wires used to make it are required to have high tensile strength. In this paper, the tensile strength of CuCrZr wire is tested, and a small pulsed magnet is made by it, then discharge tests of the pulsed magnet are carried out to verify its reliability. The test results show that the CuCrZr wire meets our needs.
